Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter Join Beyoncé Onstage for Heartfelt ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour Launch in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES — Beyoncé launched her highly anticipated Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour on April 28 at SoFi Stadium with two very special guests — her daughters Blue Ivy Carter and Rumi Carter.
The night began with a powerful moment as 13-year-old Blue Ivy took the spotlight during “America Has a Problem.” Dressed in performance-ready attire, she danced front and center, while the backup dancers stood behind her. The audience roared with excitement as Beyoncé beamed with pride, visibly thrilled by her daughter’s poise and talent.
Later in the show, 7-year-old Rumi Carter made her onstage debut during an emotional performance of “Protector.” With lyrics like, “Even though I know someday you’re gonna shine on your own / I will be your projector,” Beyoncé shared the stage with both daughters. The trio stood together, smiling as they wrapped up the song, followed by a touching video montage of Beyoncé and her children that brought many fans to tears.
This isn’t Blue Ivy’s first time on tour. She previously performed as a backup dancer during Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in 2023, making her debut in Paris. She also appeared during the NFL Christmas Day “Beyoncé Bowl” halftime show in 2024.
The Cowboy Carter Tour features 32 stadium dates across the U.S. and Europe, culminating in a historic grand finale in Las Vegas on July 26. Beyoncé is set to break records, including holding the most performances at SoFi Stadium by any artist to date.
